Wamberto's sire Harmony's Rousseau is the leading producer of dressage horses in the Netherlands, according the KWPN's 2007 index results. With an outstanding index of 181 for the production of dressage horses, Rousseau surpasses not only his peers in this meaningful index result, but stallions of all ages. Out of his first three foal crops coming of age for stallion licensing, Rousseau has twice produced the Champion of the KWPN Stallion Show. Wamberto was the 2006 Champion; Blue Hors Zack (Zagreb) was named Champion in 2007 and was sold to Blue Hors Stud of Denmark for a record high 430,000 Euro's. Rousseau has five licensed sons, including Zenon (Rousseau-Whinny Jackson) who earned a 9 for dressage capability at his stallion performance tesing in Ermelo. Zenon is owned by Great Britain's international dressage rider Wayne Channon. In 2007, Rousseau's first foal crops in Germany came of age for stallion licensing. His son out of a Rotspon-Lauries Crusador mare was named to the Premium Ring of the Hanoverian licensing, a profound accomplishment for a privately owned stallion. Rousseau's tremendous production record includes outstanding mares and riding horses as well: Violita was 2005 Champion mare of her region and placed 3rd at the Dutch National Mare Show; Wodora was 2006 Champion of her region and placed 4th at the National Mare Show. With offspring competing all over the world, it will be but a short while before Rousseau's offspring are producing titles in sport like his own.

Rousseau was the 2003 Silver Medalist of the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. He was PAVO Cup Champion as a 4-year old and Reserve Champion as a 5-year old. He also won the important series of competitions for young stallions in the Netherlands, the Divoza Cup, claiming his spot as the KWPN's top young dressage stallion in 2003.

Wamberto's motherline bears equal strength and genetic value. His damsire Voltaire is world renowned, both as a Grand Prix jumper himself and also as sire of many international performers and influential stallions. He was jumping 1.5 m courses by 8-years of age. He campaigned internationally with success in Calgary, Stockholm, Lanaken, Helsinki, Wiesbaden, and Wembly. His career came to its ultimate climax with his Grand Prix victory in Berlin, after which he was retired. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Voltaire was the sire most represented by the participating equine athletes. With over 30 approved sons, it is not surprising to see Voltaire's influence behind such notable names in sport like the dressage star Idocus, the top hunters Popeye K and Nobleman, and the international showjumpers Viktor and Conquest. Voltaire was ranked 2nd in the World Breeding Rankings for Show Jumping in 1999.

Wamberto's dam Olinda and his granddam Jalinda have also produced international jumpers and licensed sons. Jalinda is by the KWPN stallion Dutchboy (Lucky Boy—Amor). The Lucky Boy line is famous for its jumping capability. Iron Spring Farm's Grand Prix superstar jumper Judgement is by Consul out of a Lucky BoyAkteur mare. Akteur is by Amor, so Judgement bears a very similar motherline to Dutchboy. Olinda's daughter Tolinda (by Indoctro) is placing internationally at 1.5 meters at only 7-years of age. Tolinda's son Olympic Fire ( image 1, image 2, image 3) was recently heralded as 2008 Champion stallion at Neustadt-Dosse and has popularly acclaimed as one of the best stallions the commission has seen in years. The athletic prowess of Wamberto's heritage makes his overwhelmingly positive athleticism even more tangible.
