Rosario
Rosall’s sire, Rosario, is a black Premium Oldenburg stallion with a penchant for the collected work and high rideability. He offers a spectacular trot as well an outstanding walk and canter. In 2002, Rosario achieved the highest score of all stallions at the 30 day test in Redefin. Later that year, he won the Oldenburg State Championship in Rastede, which he would again win in 2003 and 2005! Rosario was also the 2002 Vice Bundeschampion three year old stallion in Warendorf. He came in third in the 2003 Bundeschampionat and in 2004, as a five year old, took third place in the World Championship qualifiers, behind Florencio and Lord Loxley. Unfortunately, an injury kept Rosario from competing in the finals.
Rosario hails from the famous Rubinstein, inheriting his sire’s willingness to work and dressage talent. Rubinstein was an accomplished dressage horse, with 40 Grand Prix wins. Hewas a member of the 1996 Olympic team. Rubinstein has sired at least 89 State Premium mares and 66 approved sons. From his first foal crop, 16 colts were premium “stallion contenders” and were awarded perfect 10’s. Rubinstein’s most famous offspring, Rohdiamant, was the four and five year old Bundeschampion and champion of his stallion performance test. Other notable offspring include Royal Diamond, Ratino H, and the Celle stallion, Rotspon. Rubinstein’s dam, Antine, was full sister to the three time Olympic competitor, Amon, and the two-time Olympic champion, Ahlerich, ridden by Reiner Klimke. Rosario’s dam, SPS Elfenlicht, is by the Holsteiner stallion Castro, who was winner of his stallion approval. Rosario’s first foal crop was presented at the 2003 Oldenburg Stallion Days, were he was awarded the l-b main premium ranking for their excellent quality.
Rosall’s dam, the St. Premium Oldenburg mare Liberty, comes from the influential Akzent II (photo right) by Absatz (below left). A legend in both Hanover and Oldenburg, Azkent II is considered one of the most notable sires of rideable horses and a well known dam-sire. His pedigree is on the dam line of De Niro,Dimension, Gralshuter, Carismo, Trend, Pik Labionics, World Man G, Trend, and Gracieux.Offspring of Akzent II have been top sales at Vechta and Verden, including Aczidos, who placed 4th inthe 1989
Bundeschampionat and was the Verden high sale at DM 130,000 and Alabaster, the highest priced stallion of the 1991 Oldenburg approvals and 1994 Bundeschampionat for Five Year Olds. Akzent II’s full brother, Akzent I was the stallion performance test winner in Adelheidsdorf in 1976 and was thereafter stationed at the Celle state stud as a top sire for many years.
Further in Rosall’s pedigree, one finds the Oldenburg stallion Freiherr. Freiherr, by Furioso II, won his Oldenburglicensing in 1978 and went on to win his Stallion Performance Test the next year. Based on his first foal crop, Freiherr won premium accolades. Among his most famous offspring: Weltwunder, the Champion Mare of her age group at Aachen 1986 and dam of Donnerschwee, the sire of sires Elite Hanoverian stallion Feiner Stern, the 1994 WEG 6th place winner, Flashdancer, and dam of Rosall, SPS Love Story, a DLG winner.
There
are already some approved stallions from Rosario’s first crop of foals,
such as Rhaposario who received 9.0 for his walk and trot at his
stallion test, as well as numerous offspring successful in theriding
horse classes. Another approved son, Rosandro out of a Sandro Hit mare
left a lasting impression at the 2006 Oldenburger Approvals with his
impressive appearance and top quality movements. His son Royal Mirage,
out of a Silvio mare is a fabulous mover and was sold at the 2006 PSI
auction in Ankum for € 320,000. This beautiful dark black stallion has
a spectacular way of going in all three gaits. His natural elasticity
and strong movement from behind is obvious and earned him the status of
Pramienhengst at his Oldenburger approval.
From his
legendary sire, Rubinstein, he inherited his riding qualities of
willingness to work and dressage ability. His dam, Elfenlicht is by the
gorgeous Holsteiner stallion Castro. Castro was by Calypso, who became
an outstanding sire of competition horses for all disciplines in
Holstein. Not only was Castro the winner of the stallion approvals of
his year, but also he did an exceptional Performance Test, finishing
fourth overall with almost 130 points and was the best Holstein
stallion. He was judged with 9.33 for both his jumping ability and his
cross country work.
