Leonberg
1994 Zweibrucker (RPSI) Stallion 17 H Leonberg showcases expressive movement paired with elasticity and power. He’s been successful through the Grand Prix, with wins at competitive shows like the Gold Coast Finale I. He is passing on his incredible movement to his offspring, who are frequently inspection champions and premium foals. His oldest offspring are just starting under saddle and we look forward to their careers. Leonberg is a confirmed Grand Prix Stallion. He moves with enormous scope, elasticity, engagement and rhythm. He has a delightful face and ideal uphill conformation. He passes these qualities on to his offspring. Leonberg’s sire, Lonely Boy XX, was a very expressive Thoroughbred with demonstrated talent in both dressage and jumping. Lonely Boy’s sire was Athenagoras, an important German Thoroughbred who influenced many German studbooks, including Trakehner, Oldenburg, Hanoverian, Hessen and Mecklenburg. Leonberg’s dam, Romina Power, is by the Ramiro son, Romiros. Her dam sire is the Hanoverian Grandus. Leonberg is a perfect match for mares who are long in the back and need to improve their movement. He passes on a steady temperament and produces drop dead gorgeous offspring with the same uphill conformation and elastic movement. With his sire’s blood, Leonberg is a great horse to refine an older, heavier style mare. Leonberg’s pedigree is producing great movers who can also be well-rounded athletes. His recent foal crops have been exceptional, earning Gold Premium awards from the RPSI and Premium with the ISR/Old NA.
