Lingh Moves to Flyinge, Sweden!!

We are proud to announce that the Swedish National Stud, Flyinge, will include the Dutch KWPN stallion Lingh (Flemmingh – Columbus – Uppercut xx) to its breeding program. Hassler Dressage is proud to continue representing Lingh for the North American market and shares the excitement of Lingh’s owner Karin Offield about Lingh arriving in Flyinge: "I was visiting here in October during the Flyinge International Dressage Show CDI and I could see for myself what a fantastic accommodation it is with a lot of knowledge attached to it. To me it is very important that Lingh gets the best possible exercise and care and with Flyinge it felt like the right choice. I am also very much looking forward to the Swedish offspring of Lingh," says Karin Offield. ( Read Claartje van Andel's DressageDirect article Time for Lingh.)

During his performance career Lingh was one of the highest ranked dressage stallions in the world according to the official FEI rankings. He has had exceptional successes and numerous placings in International Grand Prixs with Edward Gal and Karin Offield. Among others second place in the WC-finals in Las Vegas in 2005 and in Düsseldorf 2004.

Lingh’s offspring has proved to be very high quality foals, his eldest offspring will be turning three this winter. Lingh is a very elegant stallion, extremely athletic and great to handle – all of these qualities can be recognized in his babies as well.

Lingh will remain available for the North American market through Hassler Dressage, his frozen semen is of excellent quality. Lingh will be offered to the European market through frozen semen and later as cooled semen as well.

The European breeders are already looking forward to season 2009 and being able to use this great dressage athlete for their mares. Lingh will be presented in several international stallion shows during the spring months in Europe. We look forward to welcoming breeders to Lingh and are very proud to manage him in North America.

Seventeen stallions completed the testing and with an overall score of 136.12 points, Fiorano earned 9.5 on temperament and rideability and 9.o on character, constitution, and trot. Hassler Dressage Sponsors First Foal Championship Class at Devon

Hassler Dressage is proud to sponsor the first ever "Foal Championship" Class at this year's Dressage at Devon annual Breed Show. Foal Championships have long been held in Germany and within specific breed registrations and we're proud to stand behind this classes' initiation at our country's premier breed show. Scott Hassler can not think of a more appropriate and exciting place for a Foal Championship to be held than within the atmosphere at Devon. We're very excited to sponsor this new class. American Breeders certainly need support as we know that breeding can be a time of high and lows. The foals competing at Devon will not need to go up against mature horses, which is less stress for them. Susanne Hassler notes, "...we feel it is very important to highlight the American breeder and the new Foal Championship at Dressage at Devon is an ideal way to do so. With the European market pressure ever present, even with the current strength of the Euro, our American breeding program must be emphasized and promoted. We look forward to celebrating our American breeders' beautiful foals!" See you in the Championship Ring!

More Success for Harmony’s Davidoff Hit.

The most recent competitions for Harmony's Davidoff Hit have continued to go very well, with Davidoff Hit showing more and more maturity and expression at each event. At the PVDA Highslide JSDressage Show at Morven Park over the weekend of May 17 and 18, Susanne and Davi made a solo outing and came home with more wins and scores in the 70's! "I Highslide JSwas particularly proud of how focused and committed Davidoff was for me at this show!" said Susanne. "He gave me 100% of his attention and didn't place a foot wrong all weekend. As a young stallion, his focus and ability to handle the warm-up and competition arena has matured greatly this season, which feels really good." The judges rewarded the pair's top performances with scores ranging from 71-74.8%, continuing on the winning roll that Harmony's Davidoff Hit has enjoyed all spring.

Highslide JSAt the VADA/NOVA Dressage Show over the weekend of June 7 and 8, all competitors were faced  with tremendous heat and humidity. Davi again performed well despite the oppressive weather conditions and came home with another win at Second Level. "It was fun to feel his relaxation and total acceptance of the show place from his first step off the trailer," shared Susanne. "Our aim to 'grow him up' this season and give him plenty of mileage has really paid off." The last show of our Spring/Early Summer season will be the PVDA Ride For Life at the end of June.

News: Harmony's Davidoff Hit on a Roll!

With two shows under his belt (or do we say girth?) thus far in the 2008 competitive season, Harmony's Davidoff Hit is off to a fantastic start. Undefeated to date, he has currently won 8 of 8 classes and is averaging better than 70% at Second Level!

At his first competition of the season, EMMA's Spring Fling, held at Gladstone over the weekend of April 19-20, "Davi" shook off the nerves of the first time out in a many months and put in davisusannesome fine performances. He won all four classes and was High Score of the show both days. Though this was not a heavily attended competition, it will be next year! We plan to bring all our students/riders up to enjoy the wonderful experience of competing at historic Gladstone.

At his second competition, the CDCTA's Dressage at Morven Park, Davi really started to relax and perform to his potential. He won High Score of the show at Second Level with a 73.488% and once again put in four winning rides among some very good competition. With all four tests scoring comfortably into the 70%'s, Davi's composure, relaxation, and overall expression matured remarkably from one competition to the next. We are looking forward to giving him more mileage and exposure as the season continues. Harmony's Davidoff Hit will next compete at the PVDA Dressage at Morven Park over the weekend of May 24-25.

History Repeats Itself!! A THIRD KWPN Champion son for Rousseau!

Last year at this time, we were celebrating Rousseau's unprecedented victory when his son Zagreb (aka Blue Hors Zack) became the 2007 KWPN Stallion Show Champion. Never before in the history of the KWPN Stallion licensing had a Champion Stallion been named by the same sire two years in a row (the 2006 KWPN Stallion Show Champion was Harmony's Wamberto). We now celebrate that the Rousseau is on a roll!

At the 2008 KWPN Stallion Show in Den Bosch over the weekend of February 1-3, Rousseau’s son Ajong (Rousseau-Flemmingh-Amor) inspired goosebumps and standing ovations among the crowds of more than 10,000. Ajong (now named "Ampere") was named to the Championship ring, along with five other stallions. The remarks from the stallion selection committee were that Ajong represented the ideal modern dressage type with exceptional posture, frame, and expression, and that his walk-trot-and canter were phenomenal!. With that, Ajong was announced as the 2008 KWPN Stallion Show Champion and Harmony’s Rousseau made history all over again!

Ajong is owned in a partnership of three members, who chose not to put this fabulous stallion into the KWPN Select Sale, through which last year Zagreb was purchased for the record sale price of 430,000 Euros by Blue Hors Stud in Denmark. The highest-priced sale at this year’s select sale was 200,000 Euros. View some recent video footage of this exceptional Rousseau offspring.
