2008 Filly, Dolce Amore MVF (Davidoff Hit x Deseree/Dinard L) earned her Premium status with the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society on July 14th at Rolling Stone Farm in Slatington, PA. Breeder Sharon Heaps noted the judges comments "of extremely high quality, and even though she was higher behind at the time of inspection she is very elastic and still able to pick herself up and come under herself and move very well. Beautiful head and neck with a strong shoulder."


2008 Filly, Dahli (Davidoff Hit x Ginger Ale/Donnerhall) earned Premium ratings with the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society on July 18 at European Performance Horses in Barboursville, VA. Judges comments included "beautiful head and neck, very correct legs and conformation, lovely gaits, a wonderful temperament, and Ginger Ale's nicest foal to date." Breeder is Rebecca Cohen of Sunny Brook Farm, Lexington, VA.

Rousseau -
2008 Colt, Roanoke OBX
(Rousseau x Brimming/Banter) was the Reserve Champion of the Hanoverian Inspection at Oakwood Farm in Indiana on July 22nd. Roanoke OBX is bred by Don and Dee Kapper of Outer Banks Farm and is owned by Linda Holste of Franklin, TN. Suzanne Quarles of AHS noted that Roanoke "is the quality of horse we are all breeding for today!"
2008 Filly, Rania (Rousseau x Walhalla/Weltmeyer) attended the Qualifying Breed/Dressage Show at Maplewood Warmbloods in Middletown, NY on August 2nd and won her Fillies of 2008 class with a 84.9% . Rania earned an 8.5 for conformation, 9 for trot, and 9 on general impression from judge Carter Bass. She went to be the Reserve Jr. Champion Filly! Breeder is Lilo Zinglersen and handler was Mark Bauer both of Viking Farm, Milan, NY.
2005 Mare, Rousseanna (Rousseau x Britania/Bordeaux) was the Mare Performance Test Champion at the Hanoverian Inspection on July 24th hosted by Maple Run Farm at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Jefferson, WI. Rousseanna's overall MPT score was 7.67 with highlight scores of 8.5 for canter, 8 for walk and gaits, 7.5 for rideability and jumping. Rousseanna also earned an overall 7.83 at her Mare Inspection with 8's on neck, saddle position, frame, conformation, typiness/femininity, elasticity, walk and overall impression! Ludwig Christmann and Judy Hegner were the judges. Breeder Doug Langer, DVM of Helenville, WI, is extremely proud of his mare!

2003 Gelding, W. Exemplaar (Rousseau x Palmira/Falco) nee: Winnetou, is elegant, intelligent, and comes with top scores and qualifications including the 2008 USEF/Markel Young Horse Championships, and the 2007 and 2008 USDF/GAIG Region 1 Championships! "Laars" also recently earned First Place in his first two shows at Second Level with scores of 67.8% and 66.1% in Test 1. Laars had previously shown First Level with scores of 72.8 and 72.1% in Test 4. This year in the FEI 5 year old test, which Laars competed in at five different shows, earned his highest score of 7.54 at the VADA/NOVA Summer Dressage Classic in Morven Park, VA. He consistently earned 8's and 9's on gaits. Comments throughout Laars' show career include: "elegant, very supple and light-footed, showed three very good gaits adn was extremely well balanced" (Jacques Verkerk at the DG Bar Cup 2006), "very uphill, ground covering canter, even on both reins. Marching nicely at the walk... willing, obedient and good attitude. Lovely and attractive" (at the EEMI Dressage Summer Classic), and "the smartest horse I know" (current trainer, Angela Sasso). W. Exemplaar was the Winner of the 2006 DG Bar Cup for Three Year Olds at Iron Spring Farm, #3 in the U.S. He was bred by B.J. Brommer of the Netherlands and is owned by Donna R. Falcon Lynch. News: Landmark VT wins at Dressage at Lexington!
"Landmark VT," a 2008 colt by Lingh out of the Dutch mareOdet II (Jorn – Faram – Flamingo), had an incredibleshowing at the Dressage atLexington Breed Show on July 11th.
Winning both of his classes by large margins,Landmark VT also claimed the Reserve Champion Colt and Reserve Champion Young Horse titles!
With an incredible 85.6% in the Colts of 2008 Class, Landmark VT earned the highest score given for any presentation that day out of over 70 horses. Judge Lilo Fore awarded Landmark VT scores of 8.8 for conformation, walk, and general impression. Comments included: "elegant head and neck, well angled shoulder, nice loose elbow, covers ground, swinging in the back, shows elasticity and carries himself nicely uphill."
In the ISR/Oldenburg IBC, Judge Lilo Fore gave Landmark VT an overall 77.9%, the second
highest IBC score awarded. Comments from the IBC class were: "elegant, harmonious, nice style, clear rhythm, and will be a nice riding horse."
Landmark's dam "Odet II" also had an impressive showing in Lexington, winning her Broodmare Class under judge Kristi Wysocki and earning Champion Mare and Reserve Champion Mature Horse titles! After naming Odet II the Champion Mare, Kristi Wysocki noted "it says a lot when the foal is even nicer than the mother. I’m very impressed." (photos by Rebecca Splan)
Landmark VT was bred at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA under the guidance of Equine Science Assistant Professor, Dr. Rebecca Splan. Karin Offield donated frozen Lingh semen to the Virginia Tech Breeding Program in 2007. Their program offers Equine Science students hands-on experience in all aspects of breeding and raising Sporthorses. We congratulate Virginia Tech and their students who prepared and presented this pair!
